Whether he&#8217;s performing at the &#8216;Nieuwe Kerk&#8217; in Amsterdam for King Willem-Alexander or composing songs with high school students in the classroom, for Alexander, both experiences are equally valuable.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"relative p-1 rounded-sm flex items-center justify-center bg-token-main-surface-primary text-token-text-primary h-8 w-8\">Since September 2011, Alexander has been a principal teacher in the classical music department at Codarts \u2013 Conservatory \u2013 Rotterdam. \u201cThe great thing about teaching at such a high level is discovering whether your techniques and exercises work for other trombonists too.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"group\/conversation-turn relative flex w-full min-w-0 flex-col agent-turn\">\n<div class=\"flex-col gap-1 md:gap-3\">\n<div class=\"flex max-w-full flex-col flex-grow\">\n<div class=\"min-h-[20px] text-message flex w-full flex-col items-end gap-2 whitespace-pre-wrap break-words [.text-message+&amp;]:mt-5 overflow-x-auto\" dir=\"auto\" data-message-author-role=\"assistant\" data-message-id=\"1d2cf7fa-8fc1-4ebb-9780-a908597088ae\">\n<div class=\"flex w-full flex-col gap-1 empty:hidden first:pt-[3px]\">\n<div class=\"markdown prose w-full break-words dark:prose-invert light\">\n<p>For Alexander, who plays both alto and tenor trombone, international tours with the Nederlands Blazers Ensemble and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra are always learning experiences. \u201cWhat\u2019s special about such a tour is the simple fact that you have more time to talk with colleagues. Normally, everyone is in their own rhythm, but on tour, you have to adapt.
