The whim of the moment<\/strong>
\nToday I have decided<\/em>
\n to handle tomorrow yesterday<\/em>
\n I\u2019ll walk about in flared legged pants<\/em>
\n my vermillion scalp no longer grey.<\/em>
\n Yesterday I have decided<\/em>
\n today\u2019s for tomorrow to think about<\/em>
\n I\u2019ll put the now behind the blinds<\/em>
\n and turn the seasons all around.<\/em>
\n Yesterday! Ah! Then I was young<\/em>
\n a rising star, now I\u2019m old, run down<\/em>
\n I wish I\u2019d saved, I, the cricket<\/em>
\n so he could lay down. I\u2019d buy<\/em>
\n him a walker, think of the past<\/em>
\n rethink the future, when he still sang<\/em>
\n the cricket that started an ant.<\/em>

More than a hundred youths took part in the annual Young Composers as well as the Young Poets Contest. The winners came up with their own fresh interpretations of this years theme. They were assisted by Fons Merkies, Arnold Veeman, Hans Barkel and Marco C. de Bruin. The young\u00a0poets were coached by F. Starik, Ilonka Verdurmen and Philip Huff.<\/p>\n
